Celine Dion Stages Musical Comeback with New Ballad ‘Love Again’

Quebec chanteuse Celine Dion is marking her musical comeback with newly released ballad “Love Again.” As the veteran singer lands her acting debut, this song will serve as the romantic comedy movie’s soundtrack.
Celine Dion Releases Gentle Ballad ‘Love Again’
Dion released “Love Again” on Thursday, the title track from an upcoming movie where she plays as supporting actress. Composed as an affable ballad, this song is among the five new songs that Dion created for the film.
The musician’s new songs will also grace the movie, including “I’ll Be,” “Waiting On You” and “Love of My Life.” The movie will also feature Dion’s past music hits. These include “That’s The Way It Is” and “It’s All Coming Back to Me Now.”
“I had a lot of fun doing this movie. And to have the privilege of appearing with the beautiful and talented actors Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Sam Heughan in my very first feature film is a gift that I will cherish forever,” she said.
Reflecting on the plotline of the romantic film, Dion stated that Love Again is a “wonderful feel-good story.” She then stated that she hopes people will come to like the same as well as her new songs.
Starring Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Sam Heughan, Love Again traces the story of a woman who seeks comfort from the death of her fiancé by texting his old cellphone number. This then will lead her to a new connection with a different man who apparently had the number reassigned to him.
Finally, the said movie is coming on May 12.
She was Diagnosed with Rare Neurological Disorder
Back in December 2022, the singer revealed that she’s suffering from “stiff person syndrome.” Such disorder causes her spasms, thus affecting her ability to walk and sing. This condition has apparently compelled her to cancel dates of her Courage World Tour.
“Unfortunately, the spasms affect every aspect of my daily life, sometimes causing difficulties when I walk and not allowing me to use my vocal cords to sing the way I’m used to,” she said. “It hurts me to tell you today this means I won’t be ready to restart my tour in Europe in February.”
Amid the unpleasant news, Dion reassured her fans that a team of doctors is doing what they can to build her strength back. She also mentioned that her “precious children” have been present in her journey and have been giving her hope.
“All I know is singing, it’s what I’ve done all my life and it’s what I love to do the most,” she said.
