Britain’s Got Talent has released a new teaser for Series 16, and it features a shot seeming to confirm that there will be a group Golden Buzzer during this year’s competition. America’s Got Talent has featured the group Golden Buzzer for a couple of years now, but this will be the first time BGT has used it.
Britain’s Got Talent Teases Group Golden Buzzer
“I have never seen that before in the history of Britain’s Got Talent,” judge Simon Cowell can be heard saying in a new teaser for Series 16, as we see shots of the judges and audience reacting to various acts.
The clip goes on to tease a few performances from this year’s competition, including a woman hula-hooping with her backside, a dog playing piano, and a dancer doing a split. The judges can be heard sharing their praise, with Amanda Holden at one point calling something “phenomenal.”
The preview ends with what looks to be the moment all four judges hit the group Golden Buzzer together. This aspect of the competition was introduced to AGT in Season 16, and it looks like BGT is following suit.

The New Competition Premieres This Weekend
Series 16 of BGT premieres this Saturday and Sunday night, April 15 and 16, on ITV1 and STV. The new competition will feature returning judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, and Alesha Dixon, as well as new judge Bruno Tonioli.
Cowell recently teased that the new series is “chaotic,” thanks in part to Tonioli having never seen the show before. Not only did he hit his Golden Buzzer while an act was still performing, but he also hit it for a second act.
Cowell went on to share that they ended up with eight Golden Buzzers in total after he decided to follow Tonioli’s lead and hit it a second time. It looks like Cowell and Tonioli will each have two, the other judges will each have one, hosts Ant an Dec will have one, and there will be one group Golden Buzzer.
