Britain’s Got Talent is shaking up its judging panel for next season, as YouTube star KSI is officially replacing former judge Bruno Tonioli, who is leaving after three seasons. KSI filled in as a guest judge on the most recent season of the show.
KSI to Replace Bruno Tonioli on Britain’s Got Talent
On Monday, the official BGT Instagram account posted the news that that Bruno Tonioli will not be returning to the show as a judge in 2026, after three seasons in the role. According to the BBC, Tonioli’s departure is due to a scheduling conflict, as he will be judging Dancing with the Stars this fall.
At around the same time as Tonioli’s departure was announced, BGT shared the news that KSI will be a full-time judge on the show next year. In a funny Instagram clip, KSI dreams about hitting red buzzers for people in his everyday life, then calls Simon Cowell to ask if he can return to the show. Cowell says yes.
KSI isn’t a total newbie, since he sat on the panel for several episodes last season as a guest judge. In fact, his Golden Buzzer choice Harry Moulding went on to win the entire season with his magic act.
“I’m so grateful and happy to be a part of the Britain’s Got Talent team for another season,” KSI said in a statement. “I had such a good time last year and I can’t wait to see some more top talent. I’m full of energy, ready to go and can’t wait to make this the most entertaining BGT season ever. Let’s do this.”

What Did Tonioli Say About His Departure?
“After three incredible series, I’ve sadly had to walk away from a job which has opened my eyes to so much incredible talent and step down as a judge on BGT,” Tonioli said in a statement. “And whilst I look forward to filming a new series of Dancing With The Stars in the US, I will miss the chaos and joy that BGT brings, as well as all the wonderful people I’ve had the privilege of working with.”
Tonioli went on to call those involved with the talent show “a brilliant team who make brilliant television,” adding that “KSI will be a fantastic judge too, as he’s already proven this year.”
Tonioli joined BGT in 2023, replacing longtime judge David Walliams. His addition to the show got people talking, as he famously played fast and loose with the Golden Buzzer rules and was even caught swearing during the live shows.
