But it’s his music career that endears him to millions of country music fans out there. It paid off last year because Blake was the #1 most popular artist on country radio stations in 2017.

In particular his two #1 songs, A Guy With a Girl and Every Time I Hear That Song, were on heavy rotation on nearly every country station in the nation. A lot of people love Blake’s music and just him in general. Look at the ratings of The Voice. Look at the support they give his artists. Look at how closely everyone follows his relationship with Gwen Stefani. Blake Shelton may be the biggest success story ever to come out of The Voice.
I HATE modern country music and I think Blake’s stuff is pretty good. Growing up in Texas you were either on the side of county music or against it and I was very much the latter. Still, Blake has a poppy and rock appeal in his music that makes it more palatable.
