Loren Allred Releases New ‘Rainbow’ Cover
Earlier this week, Allred shared a clip on Instagram from a live performance of “Rainbow,” in which she explained what the song meant to her. She shared that she has felt like “something was wrong with me” in the past, and the song helped her.
“Growing up, I had trouble fitting in no matter where I turned,” Allred wrote in the post’s caption. “I felt like everyone had things figured out except for me, leaving me to feel like I must be the problem. I eventually turned inward, afraid to show my personality, to express my feelings and live unapologetically.”
The singer shared that Musgraves’ song, off her 2018 album Golden Hour, “helped me realize that I was fine all along, I just couldn’t see it.” For the past year, Allred has closed her shows with the song. Now she’s finally released a studio version.
Allred sounds amazing on the emotional cover. Fans seem to be loving the new release, as they shared their praise in the comments of Allred’s Instagram post promoting the track. One user called it “heavenly.”
