Loren Allred Releases New ‘You Say’ Cover
Allred performed the song “You Say” during the Semifinals of BGT this year, earning a standing ovation from the judges. She announced earlier this month that she would be releasing her version of the song to streaming. The new release beautifully showcases her powerhouse voice.
“You guys will NEVER catch me putting something out that isn’t 100% me and how I feel,” Allred wrote in a recent Instagram post hyping up the release. She also posted a video of herself performing the song for a live crowd in London and teased that she might release the full performance on YouTube.
The song released on Friday, with Allred posting on Instagram that the track “hits so close to home for me.” She added that this version includes a new bridge. Allred sings, “Am I more than just the sum of every high and every low / Remind me once again just who I am / Because I need to know / Need to know.”
Allred Reached the Final of ‘BGT’ Series 15
Loren Allred auditioned for Britain’s Got Talent Series 15 with a performance of “Never Enough” from The Greatest Showman. What made her version so special is that she actually sang the song on the original film’s soundtrack.
The singer impressed the judges with her soaring voice, earning the Golden Buzzer from Amanda Holden. Allred returned for the Semifinals, where she performed “You Say.” She ended up making it to the Final, where she sang an original song called “Last Thing I’ll Ever Need.”
Allred, who previously competed on The Voice Season 3, released a studio version of that song (also featuring a new bridge) in July of this year.
