‘BGT’ Shares Two Early Release Auditions That Made the Judges Smile

Reading Time: 2 minutes
Britain’s Got Talent returns for Series 18 on Saturday, and the show has shared a couple of early release auditions to get fans excited for the premiere. The clips feature a young magician named Teddy Magic, and a comedian named Will Burns.
Young Magician Wows BGT Judges in Early Release Audition
Teddy Magic is an 8-year-old magician with a funny personality who wowed the judges with his talent. He started his act by asking Simon Cowell to shake up a fizzy drink, only to have him open it and realize that it didn’t spray like everyone thought it would.
Teddy transferred the drink’s fizziness into a champagne bottle that was on the desk, causing the cork to magically pop out, leaving the judges in awe. But that wasn’t the end of his impressive act, as he then asked Cowell to tear up a card with a message on it.
He had Cowell keep one of the pieces, before making the other pieces magically disappear. They reappeared, intact, under the label of the champagne bottle. The piece Cowell kept perfectly fit with the rest of the card.
The judges gave Teddy a standing ovation, with guest judge KSI saying he’s “never seen anything like that in my life.” Alesha Dixon called him an “adult trapped in an 8-year-old’s body.” Cowell said he was so funny for “telling me off.” Teddy earned four “yes” votes from the panel to move on.

Comedian Makes the Judges Laugh in Funny Audition
BGT also shared an early release audition from comedian Will Burns. The clip is brief, but it shows just how much the panel enjoyed Will’s performance, as he showed off his funny impersonation of Simon Cowell. His fellow judges couldn’t stop laughing.
Will even did an impression of a dramatic TV voiceover artist singing karaoke, ending his rendition of Mandy Smith’s song “Don’t You Want Me Baby?” by singing to judge Bruno Tonioli, “Don’t you want me, Bruno?”
BGT Series 18 will premiere on Saturday, February 22, at 7 pm on ITV1, ITVX, and STV. Are you excited to see the new auditions? Let us know in the comments below.
