‘BGT’ Judge Alesha Dixon Looks Back at Her Most Iconic Styles on the Show

Britain’s Got Talent judge Alesha Dixon recently prepared for the new season of the show by looking back at some of her most iconic outfits from her time on the panel. She shared some interesting stories about the clothes, and why she chose them.

BGT Judge Alesha Dixon Looks Back at Her Outfits

In a new video from BGT, Dixon sits down to flip through a lookbook of outfits she’s worn on the show over the years. The first look, from 2012, featured a dress that was in style at the time but might not have aged well, as Dixon said it “looks a bit like wrapping paper.”

The next year, Dixon wore a purple dress that she described as “ill-fitting,” because she was six months pregnant at the time and wanted to hide her baby bump. She ended up telling family about her pregnancy shortly after that, at which point she “could finally breathe.”

A few signature elements showed up in a number of Dixon’s looks over the years. That includes a high-low cut to show off her legs while keeping the elegance of a gown, as well as bright colors. Dixon said she likes to wear colorful outfits to fit with the tone of the show.

Dixon even spoke positively about some of her more divisive looks — including the oversized purple jacket she wore in 2023. She said she likes wearing things that are “interesting and different,” adding that the outfit was also “really comfortable.”

The Show Is Returning for Series 18

“Just wait until you see what I’ve got lined up for this series,” Dixon teased. “Actually, that’s a lie, ’cause I don’t plan my outfits until about a week before the live shows.”

Britain’s Got Talent is set to return for Series 18 this Saturday, February 22. Fans can watch the first episode at 7 pm on ITV1, ITVX and STV. This is the earliest in the year the show has ever premiered, since it usually kicks off in April.

Longtime hosts Ant & Dec will be back for the new competition, along with judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, and Bruno Tonioli. However, Tonioli will be absent for some of the auditions, with social media star KSI set to fill in for him.
