American Hitmen Audition For ‘AGT’

Two members of the band, Tim and Dan Cord, are brothers. They served together in the Marine Corps in Iraq during Operation Phantom Fury in 2004. They played music together during their time in the Marines.

After returning from their second deployment, the brothers decided to pursue music with their fellow marine Dan Jarmon. They later added drummer Phil Snyder to the band.

“We want to represent people in the military that never came back home, or came back injured,” Dan said, adding, “We want to try and be a voice for them, the people that don’t know how to have a voice.”

Before their audition, judge Howard Stern said he was “still looking for a great rock band,” telling them, “It looks like you might deliver.” The band proceeded to perform “Simple Man” by Lynyrd Skynyrd.

What Did The Judges Think Of The Audition?

The audience cheered along to the American Hitmen’s performance, and the judges gave the band a standing ovation. Backstage, host Nick Cannon commented, “Those guys are good!”

“I have been waiting through two seasons to find a band that could go all the way to the top,” Howard Stern said. “Not only are you a great singer, sir, but your guys here are a great musical band.”
