‘America’s Got Talent’ Still Annihilates The Competition In The Ratings

America’s Got Talent is a force of nature when it comes to the ratings. Much like a hurricane, it rips through Tuesday nights destroying anything in its path. Not only is it the highest rated show among all the shows we cover, it is one of the highest rated shows on TV.
This past Tuesday, AGT got a 2.0 share which translates to about 11.1 million viewers. That’s a little bit down from the previous weeks, but I think that’s just because people are itching for them to get to the live shows. Those are ridiculously high numbers. This beast seems unstoppable. I’m sure when Simon wakes up in the morning and takes a swim in his Scrooge McDucklike money vault he has a smile on his face.
It’s easy to see why it gets such high ratings: it’s easily one of the most surprising, and entertaining shows on television. People I know who are not into talent shows and might never watch The Four or The Voice LOVE AGT. One thing is for sure, this show isn’t going anywhere.
