1. Sara James, AGT Season 17
Sara James, who is known by many to be the Polish teenager who managed to impress the crowd during America’s Got Talent 2022, joined Junior Eurovision Contest 2021. It’s thus not shocking that James has quickly captivated America, given her notable experience as Poland’s representative in the famous international show.
2. Destiny Chukunyere, BGT Season 11
Hailing from the tiny island of Malta, Destiny Chukunyere competed in Britain’s Got Talent 2017, gracing the stage as a 14-year-old singer. She then joined Eurovision Song Contest 2021, representing Malta with her song “Je Me Casse.”
3. Saara Aalto, The X Factor UK Season 14
Saara Sofia Aalto is a Finnish singer from Helsinki who competed in The X Factor UK back in 2016. She reached the Finale of the competition and finished as a runner-up. After a couple of years, Aalto then represented Finland in Eurovision Song Contest with her original song titled “Monsters.’
4. Lucie Jones, The X Factor UK Season 6
As part of the Girls category mentored by Dannii Minogue, Lucie Jones was the 8th placer during The X Factor season six. In 2017, she served as the representative of United Kingdom on Eurovision. She finished in 15th place – UK’s best result since 2011.
5. Sheldon Riley, AGT Season 15
Back in February 2022, Riley Sheldon from Australia won Eurovision with his song “Not The Same.” His win, nonetheless, was no shock as he previously competed on The X Factor Australia, The Voice Australia and even America’s Got Talent.
6. Ruth Lorenzo, The X Factor UK Season 5
With the song “Dancing In The Rain,” Ruth Lorenzo represented Spain back in the Eurovision Song Contest 2014, finishing in 10th place. Interestingly, before she joined Eurovision, she auditioned for The X Factor UK as part of the Over 25s category.
7. Dominika Haskova, Czechoslovakia’s Got Talent Season 1
Dominika Haskova represented Czech Republic during her stint in Eurovision Song Contest. She competed alongside alternative electro-pop band We Are Domi, performing their song “Lights Off.” Apparently, before she joined the show, she first appeared on Czechoslovakia’s Got Talent.
8. Brendan Murray, The X Factor UK Season 15
Back in 2016, Murray was declared as the Irish representative in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017. He joined the said competition belting out his song “Dying To Try.” He then competed in The X Factor UK as part of the Boys category trained by Louis Tomlinson.
9. Ryan O’Shaughnessy, Britain’s Got Talent Season 6
During Eurovision Song Contest 2018, Ireland had chosen Ryan O’Shaughnessy to be their representative. O’Shaughnessy tried to win with the sing “Together,” finishing in 16th place. He also showed off his song composition abilities in season six of Britain’s Got Talent, finishing fifth in the series.
10. Jedward, The X Factor UK Season Six
John and Edward Grimes are identical twin brothers who represented Ireland in Eurovision Song Contest two years in a row. Before Eurovision though, Jedward is already famous in the United Kingdom as they appeared in the The X Factor back in 2009.
