Why Are ‘The Voice’ Season 24 Playoffs Not on Tonight?
Reading Time: 2 minutes
The Voice Season 24 Knockouts are over, which means it’s time for the Playoffs. However, fans will have to wait a little longer to see their favorite artists take the stage with new performances. The Playoffs won’t start until Tuesday.
The Voice Season 24 Playoffs Start on Tuesday
On Monday night, NBC will be showing a special episode of The Voice titled “The Road to Playoffs.” This will essentially be a recap show looking back at the best moments from the Blind Auditions, Battles, and Knockouts — with some never-before-seen moments in between.
Then on Tuesday night, fans will be able to watch the first episode of the Playoffs. During last week’s show, host Carson Daly announced a rule change for this season that allows the coaches to save eliminated artists.
Each coach will get a “Super Save” that lets them choose one eliminated artist from any team to return to the show for the Playoffs. This next round of the competition will not be live yet. Instead, the Playoffs will determine which artists will move on to the live shows.

Jimmy Fallon Surprises the Coaches
Fans will have to wait until Tuesday to watch the Season 24 Playoffs, but The Voice has teased the new round with a clip of Jimmy Fallon surprising the show’s coaches. In the video, Fallon wears a fake beard and interrupts host Carson Daly.
He then gets up on stage to sing “I Left My Heart in San Francisco” by Tony Bennett. Fallon even gets up close and personal with the coaches to serenade them. The entire panel gives his performance a standing ovation.
Three out of the four coaches said they would have turned their chairs for Fallon in a Blind Audition, although Reba McEntire said she wouldn’t. John Legend said the performance made him emotional, as Tony Bennett passed away earlier this year.
I’m tired of watching every week on Monday and watching a recap what’s the problem? Doesn’t the voice have enough new things to show they have to recap every Monday? Whose idea was that? I think you’re losing a lot of fans. I’m tired of watching repeats recaps are repeats week after week. Tired of it
The first hour is reruns again. Recaps reruns recaps reruns recaps reruns how many times we have to watch these people three times already? Where’s the new show? I will watch anymore if this is what’s going to happen. There’s other things on TV I’d rather watch. I can watch dancing with the Stars
