Wendy Williams Defends Jennifer Lopez As Haters Weigh-In on ‘Cambia el Paso’ Video

We all know that Wendy Williams has her fair share of opinions. Today, she came to defend former American Idol judge, Jennifer Lopez, from the haters. On her “Hot Topics” segment, Williams says Lopez “looks terrific,” and shuts down any jealousy. The 51-year-old singer recently released “Cambia el Paso” and Williams seemed to love the song as she praises her style in the video. While some may say the singer needs to act her age, the renowned talk show host highly disagrees.
“Jennifer Lopez fans think that her latest video is directed at Alex Rodriquez, however I don’t,” Williams stated on her talk show. “Some of the haters hate that she can still do splits and you can’t, that she lost her baby weight and you haven’t, that she’s still 100% gold-star beautiful, and you aren’t, leave this girl alone.”
Despite her age, Lopez shows the world she’s still got it. In the new music video, the performer sports outfits and choreography just as sexy as when she first debuted. In the video, she flaunts a sparkly Dolce & Gabbana bikini while performing the hit alongside artist Rauw Alejandro, with whom she gets quite close on screen.
Lopez Deals with Haters for Dating Younger Men
In the past, Lopez has gotten close to some other significantly younger men. This is another reason the haters continue to come for the superstar and tell her to “act her age.” Just months after her split with ex-husband Marc Anthony, Lopez began dating Beau “Casper” Smart. The two met while working on her All I Have, Las Vegas residency. The icon received some major backlash for her 18-year age difference with the back up dancer.
Lopez even talked about her romantic links to younger men on The Ellen Show. She told the talk show host that she was “labeled” after dating Smart for going for younger guys.
“It’s not like you have to be younger, I just meet people, and if I go out with them, I go out with them, and if I like them I like them, it’s about who they are,” Lopez said on the show. She’s recently reconnected with Ben Affleck, who is a mere three years younger than the pop queen, after her split from Alex Rodriguez.
I for one, agree that Lopez looks amazing and is at the peak of her career. From her Las Vegas residency, performing a Super Bowl Halftime show, and appearing on television and film, Lopez is the definition of a woman who can do it all. The fact that she looks good doing is just an excuse for the haters to tear her down. Good for Wendy Williams for supporting her fellow female in the industry.
