Watch Jenna Johnson, Val Chmerkovskiy Teach The Jive on ‘Live With Kelly And Mark’

In a quick but fun segment of Live With Kelly and Ryan, professional dancers Val Chmerkovskiy and Jenna Johnson shared a bit of their expertise in jive. The Dancing With The Stars couple obviously hasn’t rusted any bit, exuding chemistry even in simple dancing steps done on stage.

In their latest appearance in the morning talk show, Chmerkovskiy and Johnson willingly took the time to teach Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos the basics of jive. Kicking off the tutorial, Johnson stated one reminder when performing ballroom dances.
“Well, dance is all about partnership; especially ballroom dancing,” Johnson said.
The DWTS pro went on to state that doing jive involves three elements: personality, an all-about-each-other mindset, and trust. She and her husband then began instructing the two, telling them to face each other and do two sassy steps. As the two hosts easily followed the same, the audience was obviously thrilled.
Johnson then demonstrated the next step, putting her hand on Chmerkovskiy’s chest as he jumped.
“Alright this where it gets sassy. He’s gonna snap it out, and we are giving him hip, hip, hip, hip,” she gestured.
With Ripa seemingly getting all the instructions, Johnson joked she could even be a part of Dancing With The Stars. The couple went on with their jive tutorial, teaching the hosts to do some footwork and dance circles. In the end, all four moved to Lizzo’s “Am I Ready?”
She’s Slowly Coming Back to Dancing Amid Postpartum
This recent guesting is perhaps another way for Johnson to gradually return to dancing after giving birth to her rainbow baby. She and Chmerkovskiy welcomed their first son Rome on January 10, 2023.
Back in April 6, Johnson posted snaps on Instagram, where she updated her followers about Rome and her life postpartum. In one slide, she showed a clip of her dancing. As per her caption, it was her first time dancing after she gave birth.
Recently, Johnson and Chmerkovskiy uploaded a sizzling clip where they were ballroom dancing. Adorably, Rome can been seen peeping as they did the dance moves. Fans hope to see the new parents return for the upcoming Season 32 of DWTS.
