‘The Voice’ The Top 13 Give Us An Unbelievable Night

Reading Time: 4 minutes

We’re nearing the end of The Voice Season 16 and the competition is heating up. With this next elimination, the remaining contestants will be heading into the semi-finals. This week was fan night, so the fans were able to choose each contestants song for the live show. Team Blake dominated tonight’s show by claiming nearly half of the spots, but who has what it takes to make it in the Top 8? Let’s recap tonight’s performances!

Gyth Rigdon (Team Blake)

Blake’s favorite artist (assuming so because he brings up Gyth being in the finals each time) was the first to start the show, and he did so on a strong note. His fans picked the song Nobody But Me. Blake told him that he couldn’t believe that Gyth is undiscovered talent because he comes off so perfect and professional.

Kim Cherry (Team Blake)

After being voted into the Top 13 by America, Kim is back and performed to Whatta Man. What’s unique about Kim is that she makes every song her own by adding rap to the lyrics. It’s so entertaining to watch, however, Kelly suggested that if she make it to the Top 8, she perform without the rap because she loves her voice and wants to hear more of it.

Jej Vinson (Team Kelly)

It’s no secret that fans of The Voice love Jej and view him as one of the favorites this season. He performed to the song Close, with his coach Kelly telling him that she’d be shocked if he wasn’t in the finale.

Andrew Sevener (Team Blake)

If there’s one person that brings energy to the stage this season, it’s Andrew! His performance of She Got the Best of Me, truly brought out the best in everyone watching. Blake said that his huge fan base is due to Andrew’s joy in performing and being a great entertainer.

Oliv Blu (Team Blake)

This soulful singer on Team Blake performed to the song Smooth Operator. John was regretting having to give up Oliv, meanwhile Blake was celebrating his contestant. He said he felt that she came out of her shell tonight.

Dexter Roberts (Team Blake)

Performing to Something Like That, Dexter did not disappoint. Blake said that at first Dexter questioned if the song would be enough to get him through the next round, so we’ll see if that’s the case!

Shawn Sounds (Team John)

Shawn started off Team Legend on a very strong note with his performance of A House Is Not a Home. His coach, John, was so thrilled with this performance that he told him that he felt he would go all the way on the show.

Celia Babini (Team John)

This former Adam turned John artist had quite a bit of pressure when fans wanted her to perform to the Oscar-winning song Shallow. She did an incredible job and her coach John commended her for making it her own.

LB Crew (Team Adam)

If there’s one person I love watching perform, it’s LB! His reaction after he was finished singing was priceless, and he looked like he was having the time of his life while performing to I’ll Make Love to You.

Mari (Team Adam)

Adam’s final team member performed to the song Foolish.

Carter Lloyd Horne (Team Blake)

Blake’s final member performed to the song Let It Go. He made the song his own and his performance didn’t disappoint!

Rod Stokes (Team Kelly)

Team Kelly’s country singer performed to When A Man Loves A Woman.

Maelyn Jarmon (Team John)

Ending the show on a strong note is Team John’s Maelyn who performed to the classic song The Scientist. She had one of the strongest voices in the competition, and I’m hoping she makes it to the finale!

With 13 incredible artists, it’s hard to know who will leave the competition tomorrow night. Let us know in the comments who your absolute favorite is of this season, and if you’ve predicted any early winners!
