Reading Time: 2 minutes

On Tuesday night, The Voice Season 21 returned for another live results show, as we learned the artists who made it through after Monday night’s performances. The competition was narrowed down from the Top 10 to the Top 8, as we prepare for the Semifinals next week.

Seven artists made it through thanks to America’s vote. The remaining three singers were up for the Instant Save vote, and two were eliminated from the competition. At the end of the night, Jershika Maple was announced as the winner of the Instant Save vote, while Jeremy Rosado and Holly Forbes went home.

As we head into the Semifinals, Team Blake has three members, Team Legend and Team Kelly each have two members, and Team Ariana only has one. This comes as a bit of a surprise considering Grande has such a huge fan base. Grande and Holly were both emotional before the results were announced.

Which Artists Made It Through to ‘The Voice’ Top 8?

After Monday night’s vote, Blake Shelton kept all three of his team members, with Paris Winningham, Wendy Moten, and Lana Scott all moving on to the Semifinals. Meanwhile, Team Kelly members Girl Named Tom and Hailey Mia also moved on.

Joshua Vacanti was voted through on John Legend’s team, and Jim and Sasha Allen stayed on Ariana Grande’s team after winning last week’s Instant Save vote. That means that Jeremy Rosado (Team Kelly), Holly Forbes (Team Ariana), and Jershika Maple (Team Legend) were up for the Instant Save this week. Interestingly, they all started out on Team Kelly this season.

Fans had five minutes to vote for which artist they wanted to keep in the competition. At the end of the night, Jershika Maple was announced as the winner of the vote after a powerhouse performance of “What Is Love” by V. Bozeman that Legend called her best so far. That means Jeremy and Holly were eliminated from the competition.

Gwen Stefani Introduces Performance by Winner Carter Rubin

Tuesday’s results show featured an appearance from former The Voice coach Gwen Stefani. As she pointed out, it was her first time time on the show since she married Blake Shelton earlier this year. Stefani was there to introduce Season 19 winner Carter Rubin, who was on her team.

Carter became the youngest male winner of the show in 2020. During tonight’s show, he performed his new song “horoscope.” As he sang, a purple celestial background decorated the stage. It’s crazy to think that at just 16 years old, he’s still older than this year’s youngest contestant, Hailey Mia.

The Voice will return live for the Semifinals next Monday night on NBC.
