‘Holly Forbes Day’ Set in Ashland, Kentucky Following Her Journey on ‘The Voice’

During Holly Forbes The Voice performance tonight, there were a bunch of people cheering virtually from Kentucky. In the beginning of her introduction video, she explained that her community has been a great support to her throughout the competition. They announced October 14 as Holly Forbes Day in the city of Ashland, KY.
Ashland, KY Celebrates Holly Forbes Day
In her hometown, people are openly supporting the Team Ariana member. Her day was awarded after her beautiful rendition of “Rocket Man” by Elton John. The mayor of Ashland, KY, Matt Perkins told the singer that he cried watching her performance. They had not met before he saw her on television.
The official proclamation of Holly Forbes Day states:
“Whereas Holly Forbes was born in Argillite, Kentucky, attend Poage Elementary and resides in our sister city Catlettsburg, whereas the city of Ashland celebrates Holly on her outstanding performance on ‘The Voice,’ bringing national attention to her talents and to eastern Kentucky, she follows in the footsteps of the great many vocal artists that have come from our region and is an ambassador for the arts in our community. With that, I and the board of commissioners like to declare Oct. 14, 2021 Holly Forbes Day.”
Ever since Holly announced that she is from Catlettsburg, KY, on national television, her community has been by her side.
“Holly, you remind all of us to believe in ourselves and we believe in you and you believe in yourself and you’re already a star in our eyes,” said Catlettsburg Mayor Faith Day. “Whenever you come back, we will have the biggest party for you in Catlettsburg, parade and all.”
Her loyal community is tuning into tonight’s live show via Zoom. On tonight’s show, Holly absolutely nailed her rendition of “Alone.” Immediately after the coaches reminded this singer that she’s been consistently stunning them throughout the season. With a strong community like Holly’s there’s a strong possibility that she’ll be in the finals.
