‘The Masked Singer’s Mustang Impresses in Early Season 9 Performance
Reading Time: 2 minutes
The Masked Singer Season 9 hasn’t even premiered yet, and we might already have a frontrunner. The show released an early clip on social media Monday, featuring a contestant called Mustang who delivers a powerhouse performance.
Mustang Performs in The Masked Singer Preview
Mustang’s costume is made to look like a horse, featuring a fiery orange mane and sparkly red accents. In the new Season 9 preview, Mustang performs “Here I Go Again” by the rock band Whitesnake. They’re surrounded by fog and bright lasers.
The song starts out slow, with Mustang showing off a powerful voice that impresses the panelists as the audience cheers. Eventually, things ramp up as Mustang belts out the iconic chorus. They’re joined on stage by various dancers in themed costumes.
Toward the beginning of the performance, panelist Nicole Scherzinger can be heard saying Mustang has a “beautiful voice.” Jenny McCarthy later comments that she has chills from the performance. Scherzinger wonders aloud, “Who is that?!”
