According to People, Britt Stewart and Daniel Durant tied the knot on August 23 at Riata Ranch in Santa Margarita, California. The wedding was attended by 110 guests, including several co-stars from Dancing with the Stars such as couple Derek Hough and Hayley Erbert, who was Stewart’s maid of honor.
Stewart’s former dance partner Johnny Weir served as a bridesmaid. The show’s co-hosts Julianne Hough and Alfonso Ribeiro were also in attendance, as well as pro dancers Brandon Armstrong, Rylee Arnold, Alan Bersten, Witney Carson, Jenna Johnson, Daniella Karagach, Emma Slater, Ezra Sosa, and more.
Durant’s former co-stars Marlee Matlin and Troy Kotsur were also among the wedding guests. The actors starred together in 2021’s Oscar-winning movie CODA. The day before the wedding, the couple celebrated with wood-fired pizza and s’mores at a welcome party.
For the nuptials, Stewart wore a gorgeous white Vivienne Westwood gown and a veil by Ofrenda Studio, while Durant wore a black tuxedo from The Black Tux. Durant walked down the aisle with his mother Lori, set to an instrumental version of “Blackbird” by the Beatles. Stewart initially walked down the aisle alone, then with her parents, set to “528 Hz Love Frequency.”
Field to Table catered the wedding, and the couple had a gluten-free cake by Just Baked. There were also cocktails available named after their cats Hudson and Orlando. The following day, they also had a “very casual” brunch with family.

The Couple Met Three Years Ago
People points out that the couple’s wedding took place one day before the three-year anniversary of their first meeting, when they were partnered up for Season 31 of Dancing with the Stars. Stewart started learning American Sign Language to communicate with Durant, who is deaf.
The couple was eliminated in the Semifinals, but dating rumors swirled among fans until Valentine’s Day 2023, when the couple confirmed their romance. On Christmas of that year, Durant asked Stewart to marry him, and the pair announced their engagement a few days later.
During the wedding ceremony, the couple exchanged vows in ASL, with Durant’s childhood interpreter Doug Boen-Bailey interpreting. As Durant told People, “It feels full circle to have him interpret in this monumental moment in my life.”
The ceremony was officiated by David Kurs, the artistic director of Deaf West Theatre. The couple’s first dance was to “Forever and a Day” by Benson Boone. Stewart reportedly surprised Durant with a group of friends who interpreted music throughout the night.
“The next chapter for us is all about growth and building,” Stewart told People. “We really want to continue to evolve as individuals but prioritize our family and what we are creating together.”
