‘The Masked Singer’ Teases Clue-Filled Costume for Season 12’s Dust Bunny

The Masked Singer Season 12 premieres later this month, and the show has teased yet another new contestant — Dust Bunny. According to showrunner Rosie Seitchik, Dust Bunny’s costume features several clues about their identity.
The Masked Singer Teases Dust Bunny Costume
Season 12 of The Masked Singer will feature 15 new contestants, and this time their costumes will contain clues about who they are. For example, the newest contestant to be introduced (Dust Bunny) has picked up a few telling objects.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the clues in Dust Bunny’s costume include a toy car, material for an ice skating costume, a lollipop, a car air freshener, and popcorn. Some of these clues are on the back of the costume, as Seitchik called it “a real 360-degree view.”
“We’ll add and take away things as well just to keep everybody on their toes,” Seitchik said of this season’s costumes. “Some costumes are a larger clue to who the people are based on the character itself. And then others have more specific objects. And it’s really based on the design, whether the design necessitates putting objects and props within them.”
So far, the show has confirmed that this season will feature Dust Bunny, Ship, Chess Piece, Showbird, Woodpecker, and Leaf Sheep. In fact, we’ve already seen a full performance from Ship, singing “Pompeii” by Bastille.

This Season Will Feature Masked Ambassadors
The clue-filled costumes aren’t the only new aspect of the show in Season 12. This season will also introduce Masked Ambassadors. These are former contestants who have connections to each celebrity this season.
The Masked Ambassadors for Season 12 include Season 6 winner Jewel, Season 10 winner Ne-Yo, Season 9 contestant Dick Van Dyke, and Season 11 contestant DeMarcus Ware. They’ll provide clues about their friends in the competition this season.
The Masked Singer Season 12 will premiere on FOX on Wednesday, September 25, at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Host Nick Cannon will be back, as well as panelists Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy, Ken Jeong, and Rita Ora.
