The Masked Singer is returning to FOX later this month for Season 12, and the show has released the first full performance clip of the season, featuring a new contestant named Ship. The mystery celebrity can be heard singing “Pompeii” by Bastille.
Ship Performs in The Masked Singer Season 12 Clip
We got a taste of Ship’s performance in a teaser for the new season that was shared earlier this year. Now we get to hear the full song, and see the amazing costume in all its glory. Ship delivers a unique take on “Pompeii,” surrounded by dramatic dancers.
“I know that voice,” panelist Robin Thicke can be heard saying as Ship performs, showing off an incredible talent. The judges are stunned as a fake cannon goes off on stage during the performance. The stage is even made to look like water.
Fans in the comments of the video on YouTube shared how impressed they were by the performance, even sharing their guesses about Ship’s identity. A number of commenters thought it could be Annie Lennox of Eurythmics fame, while others thought it sounded like Cher.
