Able Heart, the long-standing ghostwriter featured on Songland in 2019, is set to release his new single “Whisper” on August 14. An exclusive preview of the song reveals the fun and flirty vibe behind “Whisper.” From my listen, it is easy to see why he took the crown in Songland. His talents have truly been taken for granted in the past. Fans can pre-save the track now before it comes out.

During his season on Songland, Heart took the win with the song “Greenlight.” It was selected by the Jonas Brothers and recorded after the show. Heart also released his own version of the song after fans begged for the release.

Heart Teases “Whisper” on Instagram

“I can’t wait to drop this new song for you,” he shared on Instagram.

The heavy baseline laid beneath the track sets the tone for the mid-tempo summer bop. In the short-form trailer, unique neon lights are shown across the body of the artist. It is very likely that these visuals will accompany a future music video. So far, it seems that Heart has made a track destined to be played with the windows down.

A Struggling Artist Wins Songland

Five years prior to his appearance on the show, Heart moved to Los Angeles to pursue his dreams as an artist. He struggled for a while with his craft, and began to write songs for other artists without credit. He has also remixed songs for the likes of Rae Sremmurd, Lil Peep, and the late XXXTENTACION.

Heart also battled an addiction with drugs and alcohol before winning Songland. Since the age of 15, he says he has been trying to fill a void within himself. Glorifying the rockstar lifestyle and ruining relationships in the process, Heart knew that his only true escape was music. In 2018, he released a video for his original work “Let Me Drown.” Here, he takes fans on a journey of the darkest time in his life.

“I don’t expect everyone to get it or to understand where I am coming from,” he writes in his YouTube bio. “The only thing that has ever seemed to help me express how I feel inside is through my music. The things I talk about in my music and show in my videos is my outlet. It is my therapy where I can vent how I feel, without acting on these emotions in real life. To find who I am, I first need to be honest with myself. This is my truth.”

After making it on Songland, mentor Ester Dean commended his talents. She advised him to never write a song without credit again. She saw the spark within him, and he reigned champion in the end.

Now the artist continues to produce his own music. You don’t want to miss out on “Whisper” when it drops on August 14.
