‘RuPaul’s Drag Race UK’ Winner The Vivienne Suffers a Horrible Homophobic Attack

The Vivienne, winner of the first season of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK, was attacked in a McDonald’s restaurant in Liverpool on Friday, June 16. The drag queen and performer was reportedly assaulted by a man who made homophobic comments towards her. The Vivienne was not injured in the attack, but she was left shaken.


The Vivienne Had a Homophobic Attack

The incident took place at the Edge Lane branch of McDonald’s at around 12:30 pm. The Vivienne tweeted about the attack shortly afterwards. She said that she had been “attacked in McDonald’s” and that “homophobia alive and well.” She later updated her followers, saying that the police had been called and that the suspect had been arrested. The Vivienne also thanked the staff at McDonald’s for their help.

The Vivienne’s publicist has confirmed that the attack was homophobic in nature. They said that The Vivienne was “extremely shaken” by the incident, but that she was “doing well.”

“I’m so sorry this happened to you, Viv. Sending you all the love and support,” Drag Race UK vs The World winner, Blu Hydrangea tweeted.

The attack on The Vivienne has been condemned by many people, including fellow drag queens and members of the LGBTQ+ community. The attack on The Vivienne is a reminder of the ongoing problem of homophobia in the UK. It is important to stand up against all forms of hate and discrimination and to support those affected by it.

The Vivienne Did Not Fight Back Against The Homophobe

The Vivienne claims that the confrontation was initiated by an individual allegedly working for Intelligent Scaffolding Liverpool, a company providing scaffolding services to commercial businesses. She revealed that she chose not to retaliate physically in order to avoid escalating the situation in front of innocent bystanders. She also updated fans saying that the culprit was arrested and subsequently removed from his position at the company.


Later, The Vivienne expressed gratitude for the concern and provided an update on the situation, detailing that police have caught up with the culprit. The drag queen also expressed appreciation to the McDonald’s staff at Edge Lane for their swift action in removing the aggressor from the premises and ensuring her well-being by waiting with her until the police arrived.

The Vivienne’s bravery in sharing her experience and commend her for maintaining composure in a challenging situation deserves applause. The fight against homophobia continues, people must remain vigilant in efforts to create a more inclusive and accepting world.
