‘Queen of the Universe’ Judge Vanessa Williams’s Best Ice Queen Moments

Queen of the Universe judge, Vanessa Williams is a multi-talented entertainer. From the Broadway stage to music, Williams has done it all. She has come a long way since her beauty pageant days. Williams was a standout during the four season run of Ugly Betty. She played the no nonsense Wilhelmina Slater. As the leader of the fictional magazine MODE, Williams’s character was a main draw. Fans tuned in to see what she would say next and what devious move she would play on her quest for the top. On an episode that had her company crashing, Williams turned up the diva charm to stand up for what was rightfully hers.
Daytime Diva
When Daytime Divas first premiered all eyes were on the VH1 show. Williams played another boss lady who called the shots. Maxine Robinson was the star and she did not hesitate to let everyone know it. Williams played the role so well, people believed that the show was actually a first hand account into the world of daytime talk shows. Wiliams’s character took pleasure in firing staff members in her efforts to retain her popularity.

Williams is able to take over any room she enters. On an episode of The Wendy Williams Show, the diva had to let it be known how friendships work. She told the talk show host it is time to be “a real friend.” Playfully Wendy said she was scared, but she knew you do not deny the former beauty queen’s request for friendship.
Competitive Spirit
Williams showed that she was in it to win it during Season 1 of Rupaul’s Secret Celebrity Drag Race. The other contestants did not stand a chance when it was time for a quick change. The queens who observed could not believe their eyes when Williams began ripping out her hair extensions in order to quickly change. Her determination paid off, Williams was the winner of her episode and won $30,000 for charity.

When it was announced that Vanessa Williams would be a judge on the first all drag queen singing competition, Queen of The Universe, fans went wild. Williams brought her pageantry as well as her keen ear for music to the show. The contestants knew that she was one judge that had the career to back up her criticism of their performances. When it was time for contestants to step their game up, Williams was not afraid to call them out.
