Nicole Scherzinger Sings Through Megaphone Amid ‘Sunset Boulevard’ Technical Difficulties

Nicole Scherzinger recently stunned on Broadway, in a completely new way. The show must go on! Scherzinger began singing through a megaphone amid technical difficulties during her Broadway show.
‘Sunset Boulevard‘ Matinee Gets Canceled, Scherzinger Still Sings For The Audience
On Wednesday, Broadway’s performance of Sunset Boulevard was abruptly canceled due to technical difficulties. Even though the show was canceled, Scherzinger still sang for the audience. The singer used a megaphone that the stage management had on hand for the performance.
Posted to the Broadway musical’s X page is a video of the singer from that day. Within the video she is seen saying “I don’t know how this is going to sound, but at least it’s from the heart. And you know what? It’s a once in lifetime kind of performance.”

The video ends with the audience applauding Scherzinger’s make-shift performance. This was truly a once in a lifetime way of performing the piece.
“Despite technical difficulties at today’s matinee, Nicole Scherzinger found a way to keep the show going for all you beautiful people out there in the dark,” the Broadway show wrote on their X page.
Nicole Scherzinger Named to TIME100 list
Recently, Scherzinger was announced as part of the 2025 TIME100 list. She was added to this list due to her part in the Broadway production of Sunset Boulevard. Her role in the show is described by TIME as “courageous, audacious, mesmerizing, elegantly beautiful, and ultimately heartbreaking.”
Patti LuPone noted that she left the theater feeling “energized” after seeing Sunset Boulevard. LuPone also included that Scherzinger’s transition from pop singer to Broadway star is “stunning.”
