Director Jamie Lloyd’s version of Webber’s musical (which is based on the 1950 Billy Wilder movie) is moving from London’s West End to Broadway this year, and Scherzinger is coming along as the lead, Norma Desmond.
Scherzinger will be joined by her West End co-stars, including Tom Francis as Joe Gillis, Grace Hodgett-Young as Betty Schaefer, and David Thaxton as Max Von Mayerling. According to Variety, further information such as dates and more cast members will be announced soon.
Since September of last year, Scherzinger has been starring as Norma Desmond on the West End. Due to scheduling conflicts, she had to missing filming for Season 11 of The Masked Singer. Rita Ora stepped in to replace her.

Scherzinger Almost Appeared on Broadway Before
Scherzinger will be making her Broadway debut in the upcoming Sunset Boulevard revival. However, she almost appeared on Broadway years ago. After starring as Grizabella in Cats on the West End in 2014, Scherzinger was set to reprise the role on Broadway in 2016.
However, Scherzinger ended up dropping out of the production a week before rehearsals started. This was reportedly because the Pussycat Dolls star wanted top billing for the show, but the producers wouldn’t give it to her.
Scherzinger’s run in Sunset Boulevard on the West End is set to finish on January 6. The Broadway production will premiere sometime this year.
