Nickelodeon Star UnMasked on ‘The Masked Singer’

Every year, The Masked Singer sees an influx of new celebrities taking the stage. This season, we’ve seen Laverne Cox, Andy Richter, Marsai Martin, Paula Cole, Yvette Nicole Brown, and John Elway unmasked. This past episode, a popular Nickelodeon child actor was unmasked.
Drake Bell Was on The Masked Singer
During the last episode of The Masked Singer, Ice King was unmasked. On Miley Cyrus night, the masked celebrity sang “Midnight Sky.” First performance clues included: performing in stadiums at a young age, speaker towers, took time away from Hollywood, Hanson helped them get their start. Physical clues include a passport, chocolate bar, and a shirt featuring headphones saying “drop the beat.”
The panel guessed that Ice King was Pete Wentz, Joe Jonas, & MrBeast. During Ice King’s second performance, clues were: big media storm, spider on a web, Hollywood sign split, a lost and found box. Later, in the episode, Ice King was revealed as Drake Bell.
Drake Bell was recently center of news with the release of Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV on Max. Within the documentary it was revealed that Drake Bell had been sexually abused by former Nickelodeon dialogue coach Brian Peck. For those who may not know, Bell began acting at the age of 5. He was assaulted at the age of 15, after filming the last season of The Amanda Show and before filming the first season for Drake & Josh.
This Isn’t The First Time He’s Been on The Show
Ahead of Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV Bell was featured on The Masked Singer Mexico as Baby Alien. In March 2024, Bell said that he “felt more at home” in Mexico. He wanted to move there after the show.
“I have more friends here cause a lot of my friends from Los Angeles have moved to Florida, Texas, Louisiana, and so my relationship with them is on the phone anyway,” Bell said.
Due to the media attention Bell got from Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV it’s no surprise that The Masked Singer would add him to the roster for this season.
