Ahead of the past Dancing With The Stars season, it had been rumored that longtime pro Sasha Farber had been axed from the show. Obviously this didn’t end up being true since Farber ended up paired with Bachelorette Jenn Tran.
Sasha Farber Was Going to be a Troupe Dancer
Following the finale of Dancing With The Stars, Farber guest starred on the “Lightweights” podcast. Within the podcast, the professional dancer explained producer Deena Katz’s call.
“I got a call and it was like, ‘Sash, I’m so sorry. I don’t have anyone for you this season,'” Farber said. “And it hurts because you know, you give everything. Like this is my life. I love it. And she’s like, ‘but you know, we love you and we want you to do troupe.'”
Farber then went on to describe the show as family, admitting “you would do anything for it because it’s family.” In turn, he decided to take the position.
“I’ve actually, to be honest, when I first started the show, I think right about now, I’ve done as much troupe as I’ve been pro,” Farber explained.
The dancer then went on to explain that he understood finding a partner for him was difficult due to his height. For those who may not know, Farber is 5 feet 7 inches.
Farber is Officially Dating Jenn Tran
Earlier this week it was confirmed via source that Farber is dating his Dancing With The Stars partner Jenn Tran. Although the source didn’t give any more information, they confirmed the pair’s relationship status.
Romance rumors began for Tran and Farber during Dancing With The Stars. Throughout the season, the pair posted various TikToks where they called each other “babe” and ate meals together.
“He’s just such an amazing coach. Every week we just grow stronger and stronger and closer and closer,” Tran said to US Weekly during DWTS. “I really feel like we’ve built such a great foundation.”
