Mel B Teases Spice Girls 30th Anniversary Project
When Hudson reminded Mel that this year marks 30 years of the Spice Girls, she joked that she was “feeling old right now.” She added that the group members have stayed friends after all these years, saying they’re “welded together for life.”
Considering it’s the 30th anniversary of the group’s formation, Hudson asked whether or not they’re planning a reunion this year. Although she was worried about getting in trouble for saying too much, Mel did tease that there’s something coming.
“I’m such a blabbermouth. I get told off all the time for announcing stuff that I’m not meant to announce,” she told Hudson. “But what I can say is we’re definitely working on something together — all five of us. And by me just saying that I’m probably going to get into trouble again.”
It’s not the first time Mel has teased an upcoming Spice Girls project. In November, she told fellow AGT judge Howie Mandel, “It’s gonna be good.” Earlier this month, she shared that an announcement about the project would be coming soon.

The Singer’s Kids Aren’t Into Her Music
Mel admitted that her three children don’t seem to care that she’s a Spice Girl. Recently, she played the group’s music for them and asked who they thought they were listening to. Apparently, they thought it was Lady Gaga.
“‘What kind of music is this, Mummy?’ I was like, ‘It’s Spice Girls music that we wrote,'” Mel recalled. “They were like, ‘Really? Anyway…'”
However, Mel did say that she thinks her kids’ friends find her “kind of cool-ish.” Her 24-year-old daughter Phoenix also likes to steal things from her closet, since all of her ’90s fashion has come back into style.
