Reading Time: 2 minutes
Teenage dancers Ciara Hines and Trey Rich are auditioning for America’s Got Talent Season 17. The friends have experience performing in dance competitions, showing off some amazing routines featuring acrobatic moves.
Ciara Hines, Trey Rich Are a Winning Dance Duo
At just 17 and 16 years old, Ciara and Trey are already accomplished dancers. In her Instagram bio, Ciara lists that she’s a Kids Artistic Revue Protégé, an Immerse Artist Elite, and a Platinum Dance Apprentice. She’s also competed at the Showstopper dance competition.
Trey has also competed at Showstopper and danced with Cerdafied Dance Studios. He also announced last year that he’s appearing in 13: The Musical, a new Netflix movie. Trey has called Ciara his “bestie” on Instagram, and they’ve performed TikTok routines together.
Ciara shared in an interview that she first took dance classes at 2 years old, and at age 11 she “became really passionate about dancing.” She said she practices five hours a day, six days a week, including three hours at her school, Duke Ellington School of the Arts.
The Teen Dancers Are Auditioning for AGT
In 2021, Ciara and Trey won first place overall at Showstopper for their duet in the senior category. Both dancers are representing C & C Dance Company. The owner, Carrie Kaub Smith, recently shared that AGT producers contacted her to learn more about Ciara and Trey.
Ciara posts performance videos on her YouTube account, including some routines with Trey. That includes their winning duet to “In the Silence” at Showstopper in 2021. Most recently, she shared their Showstopper routine to “I Don’t Trust You.”
In their performances, the friends show off impressive flips and lifts, as well as beautifully synchronized moves and a natural chemistry. We can’t wait to find out what the judges think of their talent when Ciara and Trey audition for AGT this Tuesday night on NBC.
