Who is the Scarecrow? ‘The Masked Singer’ Prediction & Clues!

The Masked Singer season 8 is full of surprises already…and no one has been unmasked yet! With a fun new format, giving way to more contestants and early season un-maskings than ever before, there’s no question this season will be a ride.
And if you’re a fan of PSLs or just pumpkin spice in general, season 8 has a costume for you! The Scarecrow is an amazing one with a Sorting Hat-esque hat, a pumpkin face, and the hay you’d expect to see on a Scarecrow. The only question is, can they sing? And who is under the mask? Here’s what we know now!
Clues on The Masked Singer Season 8
We started off the season with just a single clue pointing to who could be under the Scarecrow mask. The Masked Singer posted it to Instagram as a “mask-ray.” The clue is a crow, which doesn’t say much considering the costume itself is a ScareCROW. But when they took the stage, the first clue was that Scarecrow “never rests.”
Scarecrow’s clues on Fright Night started out at a “Boo Barn.” She claims to be the “scariest contestant in Masked Singer history.” A bold claim! She’s made fan scream and critics praise her but she had to “bend over backwards” for the Academy to recognize her for her work. One of the men in black hands her a golden globe. She’s “turned plenty of heads” in her career and even sang on Broadway! We see a light shine on a pair of retro looking rollerskates.
But now, Scarecrow has devoted her time to saving animals. She lives with over 100 rescues! A cardboard sign with an “X” on it and two of the men in black in animal ears are shown. Then, the camera pans to a sign that says “WES CRAVEN WAS HERE.” After her performance, we got one last clue about the Scarecrow. A witch ran out onto the stage and the Scarecrow explained, “The clue is staring you right in the face.”
Popular Guesses for The Masked Singer Scarecrow
Ken thought it might be Bette Midler, while Robin threw out Susan Sarandon as an option. Jenny predicted it could be Anjelica Huston or Glenn Close. Ken went down the Scream rabbit hole, guessing Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, Drew Barrymore, or Parker Posey. All the clues definitely centered around horror movie stars and scream queens!
