The well known X Factor girl group Little Mix has made history as the first girl band to hold 100 weeks in the U.K. official singles chart Top 10. As of July 31, they have held their spot on the chart for exactly 100 weeks across all of their releases.
“Heartbreak Anthem” the girl group’s collaboration with Galantis and David Guetta is still slated at No. 7. Little Mix has beat out the collective week record by 39 weeks. Girls Aloud held the 61 week record with their 21 Top 10 singles.
The X Factor winners have had 18 U.K. Top 10 singles to date including five No. 1 singles. Their most recent is “Sweet Melody,” which is also their longest running Top 10 single.
“We have just found out that this weeks marks the hundreth week we have spent in the Top 10 UK charts,” said Leigh-Anne Pinnock of Little Mix on Instagram. “Wow, we’ve made history as the first ever girl band to achieve this. It’s amazing, and we wouldn’t have done it without you guys, honestly, you never fail to blow us away.”
The group is expressed how thankful they are to their fans. But, their hit singles do not stop there. A week ago, Little Mix released a collaborative song with Anne-Marie called “Kiss My (Uh-Oh).”
This single is currently slated at No. 17 on the U.K. chart, and the girl group posted behind the scenes videos for an upcoming music video. It’s really just a matter of time before “Kiss My (Uh-Oh)” meets “Heartbreak Anthem” on the Top 10 chart.

While Little Mix has been steady at putting out music, they’ve also been advertising their upcoming tour. This tour is set to begin in April 2022, and has dates set for the the U.K., and Ireland.

“‘You’re not gonna want to miss it’ maYBE IF YOU GIVE US INTERNATIONAL DATES THAT AREN’T JUST IN EUROPE,” said on fan on instagram.
Many fans have speculated that the girl group will be staying within the U.K. because of COVID-19 restrictions. On top of the restrictions, it’s also important to mention that Perrie Edwards and Leigh-Anne Pinnock both announced pregnancies in May. Their children will be very small when the tour begins, so their limited travel may also be to accommodate the growing families.
Fans are also hoping to see Little Mix return for a European tour next summer, since their Summer 2020 Tour was canceled. But at this point, there is no word on whether or not that will happen.
