Dancing With The Stars professional dancer Lindsay Arnold recently shared some exciting news with her fans. In a post on her Instagram Stories on March 7, 2023, Arnold announced that she had passed her pre and postnatal certification exam. Arnold has been pursuing this certification to aid her sideline gig, The Movement Club, and provide fitness support for mothers.
Does Lindsay Arnold Plan to Leave DWTS?
Arnold‘s certification in prenatal and postnatal fitness will help her support the fitness goals of mothers. The pro dancer hopes to expand her expertise and knowledge in the fitness world, focusing on pregnant women and moms. Obtaining this new certification was very important to her, as she expressed on her Instagram Stories.
“I have some very exciting information. So, I actually took my pre-and-postnatal certification exam last night and I passed,” Arnold said. “I was so nervous. I obviously wanted to pass it. There was a lot of information that I wanted to retain and I’m just so, so glad.”
The news follows Arnold’s unexpected exit from DWTS season 31, where fans hoped she would compete. Meanwhile, Arnold’s Movement Club has been gaining popularity, with fans including some of her DWTS pals who recently attended a live workout class, including Sharna Burgess, Daniella Karagach, and Peta Murgatroyd.
Despite leaving DWTS last season, many believe that Arnold’s recent certification announcement is indicative of her leaving the show. However, Arnold has stated that she is not ruling out a potential return to the show, as it is a significant part of who she is and what made her the dancer she is today.
The Dancer’s Baby is Due in May 2023
Since the announcement, Arnold has been sharing updates about her pregnancy journey on social media. She has posted photos of her growing baby bump and shared her thoughts on pregnancy-related topics such as morning sickness, exercise, and preparing for childbirth.
In an interview in October 2022, Arnold acknowledged that her pregnancy had played a role in her decision not to participate in Season 31. Given the demanding nature of the show and the amount of time required to rehearse and perform each week, it’s understandable that Arnold may have needed to take a step back from the show to focus on her pregnancy and upcoming motherhood.
While fans will certainly miss seeing Arnold on the dance floor, her decision to prioritize her health and her family is admirable. Arnold is due to give birth to a baby girl in May 2023, so it remains to be seen whether she will choose to return to DWTS in the future.
