FOX STILL UP IN THE AIR ABOUT SEASON 2 OF ‘THE MASKED DANCER’

‘The Masked Dancer UK’: Jonathan Ross Faces Heat on Twitter for Wild Guesses

The Masked Dancer UK opened with it’s very first episode, refusing to hold back on the series’ usual extravagance. Contestants Zip, Scarecrow, Beetroot, Viper, Knickerbocker Glory, and Llama all showed off dancing skills making up half of the show’s full line-up.

After each performance, the judges took their role in making guesses with some unusual and outright crazy suggestions. Jonathan Ross, making his third appearance on a ‘Masked’ show namedropped all possibilities from politicians to TV news anchors.

Ross began, suggesting the show’s first masked dancer, ‘Zip’, could be Conservative politician, Nigel Farage. Later on, Ross continued his list of guesses, suggesting ‘Viper’ was no doubt, long-time BBC news anchor, Fiona Bruce. Watching the energy in both performances, it would take a wave of magic for either to actually appear on the show. Nevertheless, with any ‘Masked’ show anything is possible!

One user in Twitter caught on to Ross’ wild list of guesses, calling the judges’ list “absolutely ridiculous.” Another, took a lighthearted hit at the talk show host, telling him to “stop it.”

As for ‘Nickerbocker,’ Ross claimed he was certain that 86-year-old TV baker, Mary Berry was a worthy guess for the contestant. Despite laughs from the audience, it seemed the guess was shared online by many.

“I can only think it might be an older pastry chef just with all the dessert references. So I agree with Jonathan… Mary Berry,” one user wrote.

Spoiler! Judges Make a Final Decision on Celebrity to Unmask

As the bottom three acts on the show were announced, the judges were left to make a decision on which two would be saved and who would be forced to unmask.

Out of the bottom three, ‘Viper’ lost the popular vote. After a minute of suspense aided by the classic audience ‘Take it off’ chant, Jordan Banjo was revealed. Banjo, despite leaving the competition just after one episode, laughed at previous guesses from the judges, presuming it could have been famous boxer Anthony Joshua.

Already, we can see the bar is high for all of this year’s contestants considering the first celebrity to go is a professional dancer himself.

The fun doesn’t stop here, Over the next week, The Masked Dancer UK continues on ITV.
