JoJo Siwa stood in for Ellen Degeneres and guest hosted The Ellen Degeneres Show yesterday. She is now the youngest person to ever guest host the long-running show. Siwa took a trip down memory lane and gushed about what led her to this point in her career.
On the show, Siwa welcomed her “sister” Meghan Trainor. She also invited the winners of Siwa’s Dance Pop Revolution, Xomgpop, to perform.
Siwa and Ellen have bonded over the years over their roles within the LGBTQ+ community. The teen superstar visited The Ellen Degeneres Show back in November, and presented Degeneres with the People’s Choice Award for Daytime Talk Show of 2021 earlier this month.
Trainor, who celebrated her birthday yesterday, performed her latest Christmas single “Christmas Coupon” on the show. The single is off her Christmas album A Very Trainor Christmas.
JoJo Siwa Hosting ‘Ellen’
“I cant believe this. When I was little I would watch Ellen every single day,” Siwa wrote in her Instagram post. “I would try so hard to get on Ellen and now Ellen had me guest host. This was DEFINITELY a career dream AND a personal dream come true.”
On the show, Trainor brought Siwa to tears. The new mom praised the work that Siwa does through her charity, The JoJo Siwa Childhood Cancer Foundation. Trainor surprises Siwa with “the largest donation ever made out to the charity” at $100,000.
Siwa described her time hosting the show as a day she would never forget. The multi-talented star has come a long way since her time on Dance Moms. Most recently, she made history as part of the first same sex dance couple to compete on Dancing With The Stars.
