John Legend’s Daughter Esti Says “Dada” for the First Time on Camera

Singer-songwriter John Legend was in ecstasy after he heard his daughter, Esti Maxine Stephens, say “Dada” for the first time. The EGOT winner was also lucky enough to take a video of the special moment, having a record of Esti’s milestone to look back on.
John Legend Captures Daughter Esti Saying “Dada” for the First Time
In the video, Esti can be seen making cute noises while sitting on a sofa, as her father asks, “What’s my name? What’s my name?” Wearing a gray bib, the 7-month-old girl then flashed an adorable smile upon hearing her father. Subsequently, Legend’s wife Chrissy Teigen tried to join their little conversation.
“What’s daddy’s name? Dada?” she said, to which Esti replied, “Dada.”
Such two-syllable word caused the “All of Me” singer to shout, out of excitement. Teigen also celebrated the admirable moment while carrying their son Wren Alexander in her arms.
“We got it on tape!” said Legend. “Caught on tape baby, caught on tape.”
Apparently, Legend’s fatherly excitement startled little Esti. Scared and confused of her Dada’s reaction, she bursted into tears seconds after the milestone.
“DADA! Then I got too excited and scared her,” the caption reads.
Not only was the Legend family happy with Esti’s recent achievement, but also their fans. In the comments, fans shared how they adored the remarkable scene.
They Recently Went on Their First Vacation as a Family of Six
The Legend family has just come back from a short and tropical family vacation. Interestingly, it was also the first time their family went out as a six-member household.
On Instagram, Legend shared a series of snaps which shows them enjoying the “so far, so great” getaway. In the first slide, Teigen was wearing a purple swimsuit while posing with Luna and Esti. In the next snap, Legend took a selfie with Miles and Wren under a cabana. The following pictures showed Miles and Luna happily playing with Esti while in the pool.
In a separate post, Legend uploaded more photos of his kids from their trip. As stated in his caption, he’s grateful for the quality time that he got to spend with his babies.
Legend and Teigen welcomed Esti back in January, Legend announced the news at a private concert. The couple then surprised the public when they introduced Wren as the latest addition to their family. Wren was born via surrogate in June.
