John Legend Makes His Debut as the First Celebrity to Become a Google Assistant
Reading Time: 1 minutes
Last year, Google announced The Voice Season 16 coach John Legend as the first celebrity to become an option for the voice of several of its devices including Google Assistant, Google Home, and Google Home Hub. It’s been a long wait, but now it’s finally time for the Legend himself to make his debut!
John won’t be able to answer as many questions or commands as the regular Google Assistant voice options, but he is able to do things like sing (of course) and tell you the weather. And get this: the verbal command for Google to switch to his voice is “Hey Google, talk like a Legend!”. How cool is that?
Google released a short video of John’s recording sessions last week. He’ll only be available as a selection for a limited amount of time, but we have a feeling he’ll only be the first in a long line of celebrity “guests” lending their voice to the system in the not-too-far future.
