Katy Perry, Orlando Bloom’s Split Is Reportedly ‘Not Messy’ as They Stay in Touch

It was reported earlier this week that Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have broken up after nine years together. Bloom is currently in Italy to attend Jeff Bezos’ wedding solo, but sources say the couple’s split is “not messy,” as they’re staying in touch.
Orlando Bloom Arrives in Italy without Katy Perry
Earlier this week, TMZ dropped a report claiming that Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom had broken up, nine years after they started dating and six years after they got engaged. Now People has confirmed the split, noting that the couple previously broke up in 2017 before getting back together.
According to E! News, Bloom recently arrived in Italy without Perry to attend the upcoming wedding of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and his fiancée Lauren Sanchez. Bloom was photographed interacting with Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian, and Khloe Kardashian while enjoying a meal with Scooter Braun in Venice.
Perry’s absence in Italy isn’t solely due to her and Bloom’s breakup. The pop star is currently performing on her Lifetimes tour in Australia, so she wouldn’t be able to attend Bezos’ wedding either way. Earlier this year, Perry participated in an all-female trip to space on Bezos’ rocket, alongside Sanchez.
Ahead of this week’s confirmation, there were rumors that the couple was headed for a breakup. The lackluster response to Perry’s most recent album 143 was reported to have caused some “tension” between them.

The Couple’s Split Is ‘Not Messy’
Perry and Bloom share a 4-year-old daughter named Daisy Dove. According to a report by Us Weekly, the couple is focused on coparenting amid their split, which means they’ve been keeping in touch. In fact, Bloom was recently seen out and about with Daisy in Australia, where Perry has been performing.
“They are still very much in touch and coparenting Daisy together,” a source told the outlet. “Orlando brought Daisy to meet Katy on tour before heading to the Bezos’ wedding. It’s not messy between them.”
The source went on to say that the former couple is choosing not to make any “drastic changes” just yet, adding, “They will keep their lives in Montecito. They are prioritizing stability and consistency for Daisy.”
Another source called the split “amicable” and “not contentious,” adding, “Katy is of course upset but is relieved to not have to go through another divorce, as that was the worst time in her life.” (Katy Perry was previously married to Russell Brand from 2010 to 2012.)
