We all know Bring the Funny host Chrissy Teigen and her husband, The Voice coach John Legend, aren’t exactly fans of President Donald Trump. Chrissy has bragged about being blocked by Trump in the past, and John has publicly spoken out against his policies.
On Sunday night, Trump stirred up a brand-new feud with the couple by tweeting about them in response to an MSNBC program on mass incarceration. According to Deadline, the documentary, called Justice For All, featured John Legend, who is an advocate for criminal justice reform.
Trump Takes Aim At Chrissy Teigen And John Legend
Trump tweeted his belief that the program should have given him credit for signing the First Step Act. CNN reports that it reduces some mandatory minimum sentences and lets thousands of inmates out of prison earlier.
He went on to tag John Legend and mentioned his “filty mouthed wife” without calling Chrissy Teigen by name. Obviously, Chrissy took notice, and tweeted calling him a “pussy ass bitch” for not tagging her. She added, “an honor, mister president,” and pointed out that she didn’t even appear in the MSNBC special.
John Legend Fires Back At Donald Trump
John also responded to Trump’s Twitter attack, calling him out for spending his night “hate-watching MSNBC hoping somebody–ANYBODY–will praise you.” He asked First Lady Melania Trump to be the one to do it.
The singer then sarcastically asked his followers not to make the hashtag #PresidentPussyAssBitch trend, in response to Chrissy’s new nickname for Trump. He even called it “foul mouthed,” in reference to Trump’s tweet.
According to CNN, Chrissy Teigen, #TeamChrissy, and #filthymouthedwife were all trending on Twitter Monday morning, as fans showed their support for the couple. Chrissy and John certainly aren’t afraid to share their opinions. That’s probably what makes them such great talent show judges.
