America’s Got Talent has shared an early release audition from this Tuesday’s new episode featuring a Double Dutch crew called Waffle. They showed off an energetic and stylish routine for the judges, who were clearly impressed.

Waffle Double Dutch Crew Wows in ‘AGT’ Early Release

The five-person group walked out on stage in coordinating oversized shirts and jackets with sneakers. They introduced themselves as Waffle, not to be confused with W.A.F.F.L.E. Crew, a dance act who earned the Golden Buzzer in Season 15.

When judge Heidi Klum heard the group’s name, she replied, “Yummy.” Simon Cowell, meanwhile, commented that it was a “great name.” The group shared that they’re from Tokyo, Japan, where some of them work as performers and others work in offices.

Waffle then went on to perform a complex Double Dutch routine using only two jump ropes. The performance was set to “Let’s Groove” by Earth, Wind & Fire. The group showed off fun dance moves and even some flips as they jumped rope, never missing a step.

The Judges Seem Impressed by the Routine

The judges were smiling and dancing along throughout Waffle’s audition, and Cowell even stood up from his chair when it was over. We’ll find out in this week’s new episode if the group makes it through to the next round of Season 17.

If they do continue in the competition, it would be cool to see them step things up and show off even more complex routines with extra ropes. AGT doesn’t get a lot of Double Dutch crews like Waffle auditioning each year, so it’s refreshing to see something different.

Earlier this year on Go-Big Show, we saw a jump rope act that featured a flaming rope. We’re not sure if Waffle has anything like that up their sleeves, but we look forward to hearing what the judges have to say this Tuesday night on NBC.
