Jake announced the birth of his daughter on Instagram over the weekend, sharing that he and Brittney had welcomed the baby a week before. He posted a photo of himself staring down at the newborn and smiling. As the singer wrote, “Well we did a thang last week! World, meet little Miss Madilyn Bri.”
He included the hashtags #girldad, #ladiesman, and #ilovemygirls. Brittney also posted about Madilyn’s birth on her own Instagram account. She shared a photo of herself in the hospital holding the baby and smiling up at Jake.
“One week ago today, I experienced the biggest miracle of my life!” Brittney wrote in the post’s caption. “We welcomed our ‘Little Feet’ into the world, and could not be more in love with her!”
This is Jake and Brittney’s first child together. They married in March 2021 after getting engaged in September 2020. Jake said at the time that he asked his daughter Macy’s opinion about proposing, and she approved.
Jake Announced Brittney’s Pregnancy with a Song
Back in March, the couple announced that they were expecting with a song video on social media. Macy and Brittney held up lyrics as Jake strummed the guitar and sang, “Life was sweet, you made it sweeter / Life was complete, you made it completer.”
The singer later shared in April that they were calling the baby “Little Feet” for the time being because they didn’t know the sex yet. Jake posted another song wondering what Little Feet would be like on TikTok, singing it to Brittney’s pregnant belly.
Jake won Season 17 of The Voice in 2019, on Kelly Clarkson’s team. He and Clarkson released a duet called “I Would’ve Loved You” in 2021, and earlier this year he released a duet with his wife Brittney called “Wherever Time Goes.” His latest single is called “Had It to Lose.”
