How to Sign Up for ‘American Idol’ Season 20 Tickets
All American Idol Season 20 audience members must be at least 12 years old and fully vaccinated. In order to be considered fully vaccinated, you must have had your second shot of the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine, or your first shot of Johnson & Johnson, at least two weeks before the taping.
You will be required to show proof of vaccination, as well as ID, in order to be allowed entry to the taping. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to attend. Invitations are first come, first served. Fans can sign up now to be notified when tickets are released.
The sign-up form will ask for your first and last name, email address, phone number, date of birth, state, gender, and whether or not you are fully vaccinated. Keep in mind that tapings will take place at Television City Studios in Hollywood, California.

The Show Is Celebrating 20 Years This Season
This season of American Idol is a special one, because it marks 20 years since the show first premiered. By the finale, the show will have crowned its 20th winner, going all the way back to Kelly Clarkson in Season 1. Idol is definitely playing up this milestone.
The Season 20 trailer teased an interesting new twist. The judges will hand out one Platinum Ticket per city, in addition to the traditional Golden Tickets. This special ticket apparently sends a contestant to Hollywood with “a little shortcut.”
American Idol Season 20 premieres on ABC Sunday, February 27, at 8 p.m. ET. It will also be available to stream on Hulu.
