Gabby Barrett Salutes Authentic Country Men with Brand-New Song “Cowboy Back”

Gabby Barrett is further affirming her love for country music and country men. The American Idol season 26 finalist recently released a brand-new song titled “Cowboy Back,” the second single from her upcoming album.

Last week, Barrett dropped her hit-ready song which she wrote alongside Jesse Frasure and Jon Nite. “Cowboy Back” highlights how love-stricken the songstress is with her man. As per Barrett, the new track is heavily inspired by her husband, Cade Foehner.
“I was inspired by my wonderful husband, a Texan, when I was writing this one,” she said. “‘Cowboy Back’ is all about appreciating the hardworking guys out there with strong values – those who are authentically country.”
With this latest release, the American Idol alum infused a heart-pumping midtempo to the song with a modern and traditional touch. Barrett manifestly channeled her inner Shania Twain in the track, managing to establish the identity of her exceptional vocals.
“Cowboy Back” serves as the second preview of Barrett’s upcoming music collection. The untitled project was first revealed with its lead and now-climbing single “Glory Days.”
Soon after Barrett dropped the song, her fans immediately expressed how much they love it. One fan even pumped Barrett up, saying that they’ve been dancing to the latest track.
Last summer, Barrett spent her time performing select dates on tour with Kane Brown. Now, as she gears up for more of her creative projects, she is also expecting her third child. Their baby is anticipated to come out in February 2024.
The Song is a Sonically Pleasing Piece That Preaches Real Country Spirit
From the beginning of the lyrics to the end, Barrett champions classic romance, wishing that traditional country boys would come back. In the first verse, the singer vividly describes her lovely view, an effortlessly genuine cowboy. In the chorus, Barrett expresses gratitude for having a real cowboy loving her.
“My shotgun ride or die / ‘Yes, ma’am’ with a Southern accent / Stand up for what needs standin’ / Thank God I got a man like that / Look at you bringin’ cowboy back,” the lyrics reads.
As the song goes one, Barrett preaches how “real men” are true to their words. Her lyrics are perfectly wrapped with fizzling melodies and beats, suggesting enthusiasm in the track. It’s no shock that fans have been loving this new song.

At present, Barrett still has not revealed further details regarding her sophomore album. For the meantime, fans can listen to “Glory Days” and “Cowboy Back” to get the vibe of her upcoming releases.
