Fans Crack Up Over Maks Chmerkovskiy’s Funny Jeopardy! Photo
Chmerkovskiy posted a clip from Jeopardy! where host Ken Jennings read the clue: “The Ukrainian-American dancer and TV star seen here has this first name, that means ‘greatest’.” Contestant Denise correctly responded “Maksim” to the clue. His first name does indeed mean “greatest” in Russian.
Fans were impressed Chmerkovskiy made it onto the famous game show, but fans were rolling because of the photo choice.
The picture shows Chmerkovskiy shaking an imaginary person with a huge, open-mouthed grin on his face. Even his wife Peta poked fun at the bizarre snapshot in the comments. She wrote “Of all the photos they happened to think this one was best.”
Other fans joined in, with one writing: “I was watching Jeopardy and I saw!!!! Of course I knew the answer!.” Despite the unflattering pic, followers were delighted to see the dancer-turned-reality star honored on the iconic quiz show.
Maks Chmerkovskiy Says What He Misses About DWTS
In a recent interview about his new show The Traitors, Chmerkovskiy seemed to hint he misses his Dancing With The Stars days. He compared the Peacock series to his 17 seasons on DWTS, noting he was excited about the “rotating cast of personalities” since that was something he loved about the ABC dance show.
“This was just something new, something different,” Chmerkovskiy said. “Plus, I’m privy to 17 seasons of an amazing rotating cast of personalities. And I missed it a little bit.”
Chmerkovskiy said working on a solo show was an adjustment after competing for so long as part of a duo on DWTS. However, he fully embraced the new challenge.
This wasn’t the first time the dancer has gotten nostalgic about his DWTS tenure. In a 2023 interview, Chmerkovskiy shared he loved everything DWTS represented when he first joined in 2006. While he’s moved on to new projects now, his comments suggest the ballroom still holds a special place for him.
