Exclusive Interview: Is ‘The Masked Singer’ Next for ‘RHONJ’ Star Melissa Gorga?
Reading Time: 2 minutes
Yesterday, stars of the Real Housewives of New Jersey laid it all out on the field at the “Battle for Brooklyn.” The reality stars and their families took part in an epic softball showdown against the Healthcare Heroes. The charity event showed support to Maimonides Medical center on their 110th birthday. At the event, RHONJ star Melissa Gorga stated that she would want to perform on The Masked Singer.
Yesterday’s event was filled with love, family, and surprises. In the midst of the game, Gorga mentioned that of all the talent shows out there, she would like to show-off her musical talent on The Masked Singer.
“I mean yes,” she said. “Actually I would, I always said that’s the only other show that I would go and do.”
Will We See Melissa Gorga on The Masked Singer?
Gorga’s story arc on season three of the RHONJ centered around her long-time dream of becoming a singer. With support from her husband Joe, she was able to make those dreams a reality. After meeting with some of the world’s top producers, she created her most well-known hit, “On Display.” Not to be biased, but this is also my personal favorite. The song was released in 2011, preceding a four song EP.
Gorga’s other singles include “Never Let Me Go,” “Rockstar,” and “I Just Wanna,” which is accompanied by a music video. In 2016, Gorga told E! News that she would be taking a hiatus from her music career. However, she expressed interest in returning to her passion in the future. Could appearing on The Masked Singer be the perfect opportunity for Gorga to get back in the game? I think so.
Aside from being a beloved wife and mother of three, Gorga is also a business-woman. The reality star currently runs a successful boutique called Envy, featured exclusively on the show. Using the link in her Instagram bio, you too can have the fun, vibrant style of a real housewife.
Interestingly, the Jersey housewife did in fact appear on an episode of Lip Sync Battle. There, she performed Carrie Underwood’s “Before He Cheats” and “When I Grow Up” by the Pussycat Dolls. While she dominated her performances, fans didn’t get to hear her actually sing, as per the concept of the show. Taking The Masked Singer stage would be the perfect opportunity for Gorga to remind the world of her vocal talents.
