‘DWTS’ Recap: MAJOR Fighting at the Judges’s Table!
Reading Time: 5 minutes
We often see a lot of drama on the Dancing With the Stars dance floor, but tonight we got quite a bit of it at the judges table! Guest judge Leah Remini certainly wasn’t shy about voicing her opinions of the other judges’s comments, so let’s take a look at what they were hotly debating this evening!
Week 4 Brings Blood, Sweat, and Tears
‘DWTS’ Performance: Sean & Lindsay
Sean and Lindsay danced a Paso Doble to “Bamboléo”. Len praised Sean on his “attack” in the dance and Carrie Ann on how he moved his arms, though Bruno pointed out his issues with his timing and center of gravity.
Carrie Ann: 5
Leah: 6
Len: 5
Bruno: 5
Score: 21/40
Week 3 and 4 Total: 36/70
‘DWTS’ Performance: Ally & Sasha
After a week at “Sasha’s Bootcamp” Ally delivered a high-energy jive to “Proud Mary”. There were a couple of noticeable mistakes, but she kept up well and the judges gave her dancing high praise.
Carrie Ann: 8
Leah: 8
Len: 8
Bruno: 8
Score: 32/40
Week 3 and 4 Total: 56/70
‘DWTS’ Performance : Kel & Witney
Kel’s cha-cha to “If I Can’t Have You” by Shawn Mendes was a definite improvement over his previous dances, and the judges praised the strong trajectory he is on!
Carrie Ann: 8
Leah: 8
Len: 8
Bruno: 8
Score: 32/40
Week 2 and 4 Total: 52/70
‘DWTS’ Performance : Kate and Pasha
Kate did a nice Argentine tango to to “Can’t Keep My Hands to Myself”. Carrie Ann complimented her on how she “worked the floor” but there were comments about how she had trouble getting into character this time around. Leah gave the others some pushback though, commenting on how well she thought Kate did.
Carrie Ann: 7
Leah: 7
Len: 6
Bruno: 6
Score: 26/40
Week 3 and 4 Total: 50/70
‘DWTS’ Performance: James and Emma
After a special reveal that James and his wife are expecting their sixth child, he performed a lively quickstep with Emma. There were some timing issues but it was another great dance from this duo. The judges were especially nitpicky with them in comparison to most of the other teams, but I think that’s because James is doing so well and they now have such high expectations for this team!
Carrie Ann: 7
Leah: 7
Len: 7
Bruno: 7
Score: 28/40
Week 3 and 4 Total: 51/70
‘DWTS’ Performance : Hannah and Alan
Hannah had to channel her inner “tough girl” for this Paso Doble to “I Love It”. The judges gave her major kudos for how well she nailed the moves and got into the character of the dance.
Carrie Ann: 8
Leah: 8
Len: 8
Bruno: 8
Score: 32/40
Week 3 and 4 Total: 53/70
‘DWTS’ Performance : Lamar and Peta
Lamar showed noticeable improvement in his Viennese Waltz to “Kiss From A Rose”. He was still awkward and the height difference between him and Peta was difficult for him to overcome, but the judges commended him on his efforts.
Carrie Ann: 5
Leah: 7
Len: 4
Bruno: 4
Score: 20/40
Week 3 and 4 Total: 32/70
‘DWTS’ Performance : Sailor and Val
Sailor danced a cha-cha to “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” this week. Other than her “Bambi legs” she needs to control better, this was another great performance from her like last week’s. Erin commented on how much fun she seemed to be having, and Sailor’s bright smile really said it all!
Carrie Ann: 7
Leah: 8
Len: 8
Bruno: 8
Score: 31/40
Week 3 and 4 Total: 54/70
‘DWTS’ Performance : Lauren and Gleb
I have to say, “Jolene” was a bad fit for a foxtrot routine, but Lauren did very well with what she had to do. This was definitely a breakthrough dance for her, and the judges all agreed that she is progressing well as a dancer.
Carrie Ann: 8
Leah: 8
Len: 8
Bruno: 8
Score: 32/40
Week 3 and 4 Total: 52/70
‘DWTS’ Performance : Karamo and Jenna
I thought “Jolene” for a foxtrot was bad, but “Old Town Road” for a tango? Yikes. (At least it was a remixed version). Still, Jenna managed to choreograph a fitting routine for Karamo, and this was definitely his best dance yet. Leah once again defended the team against the “lift police” (AKA Carrie Ann) as well as Len and Bruno’s critiques.
Carrie Ann: 7
Leah: 7
Len: 7
Bruno: 7
Score: 28/40
Week 3 and 4 Total: 44/70
‘DWTS’ Elimination
Tom called the names of the eight safe couples in no particular order, revealing Lamar and Peta and Karamo and Jenna as the bottom two based on last week’s and this week’s scores and votes.
Both Carrie Ann and Bruno voted to save Karamo and Jenna (and Len then revealed he would have broken a tie in favor of them) so Lamar and Peta were sent packing this week.
Next week is Disney night in the DWTS ballroom! What songs and movies are you hoping to see used for the episode? Let us know in the comments below!
