‘DWTS’ Pro Jenna Johnson Injured in ‘SAVOR After Hours’ Show

Jenna Johnson is nursing an injury after she damaged her toe during her “SAVOR After Hours” performance in Napa, California. The Dancing with the Stars pro got into the accident while performing with her husband Valentin Chmerkovskiy, and his brother, Maksim Chmerkovskiy.
Jenna Johnson Details Toe Injury During Her Savor After Hours Performance
During her August 19 performance on “SAVOR After Hours”, Johnson got hurt while exiting the stage following one of her routines. The DWTS pro took the time to share some details about her injury on her Instagram Stories.
“No joke. First show. And one of my first numbers. I’m running off stage. I’m flying off stage. Can’t see because there’s strobes going. I’m barefoot. I roundhouse kicked a light and her toe is gone,” she said. “Now, I’m not a doctor but I will let you decide if you think it’s broken or not.”
Johnson then proceeded to show a video of her toe to let her followers see the bruise. Her fourth toe on her left was completely swollen — looking broken to a possibility.
“It’s giving so swollen and some cute discoloration,” she said.
Despite the unfortunate accident, Johnson deemed Savor’s double show as an “amazing day” with the “amazing crowd.” Furthermore, elsewhere on her Instagram stories, she expressed her delight over JoJo Siwa and Ezra Sosa’s surprise appearance in the audience.
She, Baby Rome Move to Napa to be Closer to Val Chmerkovskiy
For those who may not know, Johnson and her son Rome are temporarily settling in Napa, California. This only makes sense as Chmerkovskiy has to stay in Napa for the summer because of the dance show. This way, their little family can bond more frequently despite Chmerkovskiy’s busy schedule.
Johnson has had several appearances on her husband and brother-in-law’s summer show. The first time she performed on the wine-tasting cabaret was when Maks had to attend to his wife Peta Murgatroyd’s labor.
“We are thrilled to share that @jennajohnson will join @valentin and the incredible cast for both performances today as a guest star,” the show’s Instagram page read.
Since then, Johnson served as a guest performer on the show. Her participation has even more been made easier because she is living in Napa, California.
“SAVOR After Hours” will run until early September. Last week, according to their Instagram page, the show described itself as “passionate story-telling & jaw-dropping performances.”
