Dance Group Conversion Wins ‘Canada’s Got Talent’ Season 2
Reading Time: 2 minutes
Canada’s Got Talent aired its Season 2 finale on Tuesday night, as dance group Conversion was crowned the winner. This talented act earned the Golden Buzzer from judge Trish Stratus during the audition round.
Conversion Wins Canada’s Got Talent Season 2
Conversion is a 36-member dance group from Quebec. For their CGT audition, they performed an emotional routine dedicated to their coach Vincent Desjardins and his wife, who struggled with fertility problems before welcoming their baby. The dancers performed to the sound of the baby’s heartbeat.
Stratus loved the performance so much, she hit the Golden Buzzer to send them straight to the Semifinals, where they showed off yet another stunning routine, this time set to Hozier’s “Take Me to Church.”
Conversion made it into the Finals, where their latest performance earned enough votes to be named the Season 2 winners. Along with their win, Conversion earned the $150,000 prize and an opportunity to perform in Las Vegas.
Second place this season went to another dance group, The Cast. Singing duo The Turnbull Brothers finished the season in third place.
