Canada’s Got Talent is amping up for their second finale on CityTV. With the highly anticipated episode right around the corner, judges Howie Mandel, Kardinal Offishall, and Trish Stratus have revealed what they’re looking for in a winner.
The upcoming finale of Canada’s Got Talent is live this Tuesday, May 16. With the finalists announced, only time will tell who the newest winner of the series will be. For those who may have missed it, this season’s remaining acts are Atsushi Ono (magician), Turnbull Brothers (singers), Cool Giraffes (dance group), Meave (singer) and Raymond Salgado (singer). Among the finalists are Golden Buzzer recipients Conversion (Trish Stratus), Geneviève Côté (Howie Mandel), and The Cast (group).
CGT Judges Reveal What They’re Looking For in The Winning Act
Now that Canada and the judges have voted their favorites into the finale, fans are eager for the next winner. After several weeks of the competition, CGT fans have seen the best of the best from this years’ contestants. Judges are hoping that the upcoming winner will impress them with something entirely unique.
“You [CGT finalists] have to be authentic and surprising,” Howie Mandel said.
In addition, judges want the remaining contestants to give their all to prove they truly deserve it.
“I’m looking to FEEL it, to be MOVED. I want my heart to soar, I want my heart to jump out of my chest,” Trish Stratus said. “I want to jump out of my seat … what I’m trying to say is I’m looking to be STRATUSFIED!”
When it comes to a winner, judges want a contestant that keeps them on their toes to end up victorious.
“I am looking for a winner that embodies our definition passion-someone that leaves everything they got on our CGT stage!” Kardinal Offishall said. “I want to feel like the winner was someone who unquestionably poured out their talent and gave it their all for the entire country to confidently get behind them and crown them the new CGT champion!”
Fans can tune into CityTV on Tuesday, May 16 to watch the upcoming Canada’s Got Talent finale. Voting will open during the show on CityTV’s website. The winner announcement will take place during the last five minutes of the episode.
