Former Dancing with the Stars pro Cheryl Burke recently took to social media to respond to comments about her apparent weight loss. The dancer’s changing appearance has sparked discussion among fans for months now.
Cheryl Burke Responds to Comments on Weight Loss
Earlier this week, Burke posted a video on Instagram in which she can be seen getting ready, with curlers in her hair and a strapless black dress on. The clip then cuts to her looking glam, with her makeup and hair done.
The video received several comments expressing concern about Burke’s apparent weight loss. One fan wrote, “Please just be honest and tell us what’s going on. Seriously not being a hater.” Someone else commented, “For a medical professional trained eye, she is sick and it’s showing.”
The following day, Burke posted another video seeming to respond to these comments, in which she shared a “friendly reminder” that “how someone looks, how someone lives, even what they’ve walked through is not our business to judge.”
“Physical appearance doesn’t reveal somebody’s worth, their happiness, or their strength,” Burke continued. “You can look at someone and assume that you may know their story, but in actuality, you don’t.”

Fans Have Been Commenting on Burke’s Appearance
This isn’t the first time Cheryl Burke has received comments from fans expressing concern or shock over her changing appearance. Back in May of this year, Burke addressed speculation that she had been using weight-loss drugs or received plastic surgery.
“I’m not on Ozempic. I’m not sick. I didn’t get a face transplant, and no, I didn’t get a brow lift,” Burke told fans, adding, “The accusations are completely cruel, and the fact that so many of them are actually coming from women, that’s what is so shocking and hurtful to be quite honest.”
However, the comments have continued in the months since. In July, fans remarked that Burke was unrecognizable to them when she shared a makeup tutorial for her passport and ID photos.
“Your life is yours, and my life is mine. Every single person has the right to live authentically, even if it doesn’t fit somebody else’s expectations,” Burke said in her new video. “Respect is free, kindness is timeless, and living in your truth, no matter who misunderstands it, is the strongest glow-up that you’ll ever have.”
